There’s so many benefits to be had from being in a mastermind group. It’s amazing.
Supportive peers who destroy your entrepreneurial loneliness, for instance.
And a fount of knowledge, advice, and strategy tips.
Last Wednesday for example, during the Cabal meeting.
One of the members needed a strategy to get as many artists to submit their work for display, and she needs results fast.
So I told her to create a spreadsheet of all the artists in her area.
Add a column for how likely each artist is to be able to afford the $50 entry fee, and rate 1, 2, or 3, with 3 being the most likely.
Another column where each artist gets rated on whether or not they are a personal connection, a friend of a friend, or a brand new connection, with 3 for personal.
Another column for proximity: how likely is each person to be able to travel to the gallery on short notice, and deliver the work, with 3 for most local.
A final column where the three ratings are added up, and then:
Phone up the artists with the highest rating.
Simple, effective, and strategic.
And build for efficiency and highest possible results.
That’s the kind of thing that happens in a mastermind: you get concrete advice that makes your life easier and your business more successful.
And I experience the same thing in my own mastermind group.
For instance, at the moment my website is being treated to an overhaul.
And one of the guys said:
“What is the one thing you, Martin? What specific problem do you solve for people? What’s the one benefit you provide… overcoming procrastination? Lifting writer’s block? What do you DO?”
Brilliant question that I never asked myself before.
And it helped me to quickly identify what exactly I do when coaching people:
I help you create strategic, systematic momentum.
Because it makes being in business more fun and gets you to prosperity faster.
Because I now know this, it’ll be far easier to explain what coaching is when people ask.
And all because I made the smart move to join a mastermind.
Want that kind of result for yourself?
Then why not join The Cabal?
There’s still one place in the Women’s Cabal, and on Monday I open registration for the Men’s Cabal.
