The Answers Are Inside You… Really…???

It’s a common enough concept:

“You have all the answers”

“The answers are in you”.

And yes, I’m also known to say things like that.

Because it’s MUCH more useful to find your own answers, than have someone feed them to you.

Besides, the answers that others give are in most cases ignored or dismissed.

But what does it mean, that the answers are inside you?

That you’re connected to some cosmic supercomputer that you can tap into for answers?

Does it mean god-mind?

Is it about intuition?

Does it imply that subconscious is connected to everything and everyone?

Or that what we call subconscious is actually an independent intelligence, bigger than the human intelligence?

Nah, not at all. It’s much simpler than that. Goes back to simple psychology.

Throughout your life, you collect information, and data, and answers… all the frigging time.
From the moment your mother tells you that you shouldn’t touch the heater unless you want to get burned, through your school years when you would rather avoid learning boring maths, to adulthood when you read quality books and follow courses and trainings:

You are a perpetual sponge for knowledge. Answers.

And it all goes in there, that mind of yours… and then 99.9999% of it seems to disappear.

Except it doesn’t. It lodges in your consciousness, but it just doesn’t seem to be accessible by your conscious mind.

In one ear, out the other… or so it seems.

But I don’t believe that’s true.

Now I don’t have any scientific data to back this up, but I believe that all the knowledge you gather throughout life stays in you, just on a level where you can’t readily access it.

Until the moment comes that everything is right, for you to fish up an answer and actually integrate it into your conscious awareness.

As if your intuition is paying attention, watching you, and says: “Ah. She’s ready for this now. Here you go, look: an insight. The answer to your question. You’re welcome”.

Again, I don’t know the science of it, but it’s uncanny how many answers I’ve found throughout my life, only to realise that – dang! – I already knew this, just never took it seriously!

The answers inside you, they’re there.

Because you put them there, with the help of parents and teachers and books and peers – and you weren’t even aware of it.

The trick is though, to become good at uncovering the answers.

And for that, radical self-awareness is useful. Ruthless self-awareness, even more so.

Because it’s very easy to find an answer, and then dismiss it because of /excuses.

“Won’t work”.

“Tried that”.

“Don’t know how”.

“I’m not ready for it”.

All of them, excuses that you could easily head off, provided you’re willing to face the fact that it’s you and not the outside world who is making the excuses.

So what do you do when you have self-awareness but try as you might, you just can’t find the answers?

Then you talk to a coach.

Because a coach asks you the questions (not give you the answers) that enable you to tap into that vast resource of knowledge and insight that you have inside of you.

Let me know when you’re ready for that.
